Meet Janie
Janie Alton is our Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant here at Christian Care Center of Unicoi. She hails from the COTA program at South College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Janie has been a COTA for 7 years now. She received her bachelor’s degree from Milligan College in Human Performance and Exercise Science.
She was a collegiate track athlete and is now a competitive soccer coach. She is a mother of two and loves to play soccer in her free time as well as work jigsaw puzzles and play video games.
Janie’s favorite movie is Patch Adams as it inspires her to make a patient’s day and help people realize they are never too old for fun.
She has been working at our facility for two years. The thing that she likes most of her job is that someone could be having a bad day, but she is able to brighten it “just a bit”.
